Typing HS 8803 into an AOG invoice in 2026 is a 2017 heading. From HS 2022, heading 8803 is deleted. Parts of aircraft (and of unmanned aircraft of heading 8806) sit under heading 8807, “Parts of goods of heading 88.01, 88.02 or 88.06.”
A Form 1 or 8130-3 does not assign that heading.
TL;DR. WCO’s HS 2017–2022 correlation table records 8803 deleted and parts moved to 8807. Canada’s 2026 Customs Tariff Chapter 88 has no 8803 line. HMRC classifies identifiable aircraft parts under 8807 with listed exclusions (engines, many electronics, seats, glass, parts of general use). Turbojets, turbopropellers and other gas-turbine parts are heading 8411 on that page. Do not treat every aviation SKU as 8807. ICS2 how-tos want a plain-language description and the first six HS digits; that is not a ruling.
What happened to heading 8803?
The WCO HS 2017–2022 correlation table records the deletion and the move to 8807 (WCO Table I).
Canada’s 2026 Customs Tariff Chapter 88 has no 8803 line. It lists 88.07 with 8807.10 (propellers and rotors), 8807.20 (undercarriages), 8807.30 (other parts of aeroplanes, helicopters or unmanned aircraft) and 8807.90 (other) (CBSA T2026 ch.88). Older T2021 HTML that still ranks in search is not the current schedule.
Does every aircraft part fall in 8807?
No. HMRC classifies aircraft parts under heading 8807 when they are essential for aircraft operation and identifiable for use solely or principally with headings 8801, 8802 or 8806. Engines and many electronics, seats, glass and “parts of general use” are excluded from 8807 and classified elsewhere (Classifying aircraft parts). Turbojets, turbopropellers and other gas-turbine parts are heading 8411 on that page.
A Form 1 or 8130-3 does not assign a heading (FAQ 19466). Classification follows the legal notes and the commercial description. K&L lists HS on an AOG document set next to invoice, packing list and the ARC (K&L, vendor). ATW Cargo still writes HS 88 / 88.03 next to AOG customs; treat that as sales copy (ATW).
Is an ICS2 “first six digits” line the same as a tariff ruling?
No. ICS2 how-tos want a plain-language description and the first six HS digits on AWB lines (KN ICS2, industry, not the tariff). D17-1-10 time-limit type code 1 (spare parts for aircraft or vessels, 15-year warehouse) is a bonded-warehouse procedure code, not a statement that all spares are 8807 (D17-1-10 PDF). Invoice description: D1-4-1.

8803 is a 2017 heading. Parts of aircraft sit under 8807 after HS 2022, with listed exclusions. A Form 1 does not assign the heading. Use the live tariff for the 10-digit code on the day you file.
UK import declaration: UK CDS for aircraft parts. Packet: AOG customs packet.
Doana can extract an HS candidate from invoice or Form 1 text for a human classifier (Form 1 automation). It cannot issue a binding ruling.
