TCCA Form One and the EASA MAG for components

Canada did not copy Form 1 and rename it. TCCA Form One is the Canadian authorised release certificate. MAG mutual acceptance is for component AMOs, not for aircraft, and not for CARM.

Canada did not copy Form 1 and rename it. TCCA Form One is the Canadian authorised release certificate. MAG mutual acceptance is for component AMOs, not for aircraft, and not for CARM.

Transport Canada’s MAG amendment was signed 12 July 2024. The joint industry letter is 24 January 2025. The page was modified 6 October 2025.

TL;DR. For AMOs maintaining aeronautical products other than aircraft, EASA Form 1 and TCCA Form One are mutually accepted. MAG approval numbers are no longer required in block 12 for engines and propellers. MAG rev 3 for used/repaired; TIP for new parts. This is airworthiness paperwork, not CARM and not ICS2. EASA FAQ 66700 is the installation FAQ for named foreign ARCs. Doana extracts EASA Form 1 box by box and reads the certificate type and part numbers from a Form One. It does not grant MAG privileges.

What did the MAG amendment change?

For AMOs maintaining aeronautical products other than aircraft, EASA Form 1 and TCCA Form One are mutually accepted (TC MAG). MAG approval numbers are no longer required in block 12 for engines and propellers.

MAG rev 3 for used/repaired; TIP for new parts. Templates: TCCA Form One. Scope is components, not aircraft.

EASA installation FAQ for foreign ARCs: FAQ 66700. That table names TCCA Form One next to FAA 8130-3 and ANAC F-100-01. It is not the MAG block-12 change.

Is MAG a customs filing?

No. This is airworthiness paperwork. CARM is CBSA accounting from 21 Oct 2024 (CARM). ICS2 is EU security filing (ICS2). Neither is granted by a Form One in the inbox.

US used dual release is a different path (MAG maintenance on 8130-3 Block 14), not this Canada–EASA Form One mutual acceptance. Dual release: Dual release on FAA 8130-3. Parent vs-page: EASA Form 1 vs FAA 8130-3.

Next

If the paper is a TCCA Form One on a component AMO, read the MAG page for mutual acceptance and the dropped block-12 approval numbers. If the paper is a used US 8130-3, that is dual release, not this MAG. Packet: AOG customs packet.

Doana extracts EASA Form 1 box by box and reads the certificate type and part numbers from a Form One (Form 1 automation). It does not grant MAG privileges.
