UK CAA component acceptance: tables are by certificate issue date

The UK table is not “what is eligible on the day the aircraft is on ground.” UK CAA guidance on acceptance of components publishes two tables (new vs used/maintained) for named foreign authorised release certificates.

The UK table is not “what is eligible on the day the aircraft is on ground.” UK CAA guidance on acceptance of components publishes two tables (new vs used/maintained) for named foreign authorised release certificates.

The CAA labels the tables reference only and tells the reader to use the latest bilateral agreement. The columns are when the authorised release document was issued, not when the part is imported.

TL;DR. An older eligible certificate is not made ineligible merely because the aircraft is on ground in 2026. For USA used/maintained components, dual FAA/EASA or single EASA remains on the table for tags issued on or before 31 Dec 2024; after that date the table wants dual FAA/CAA or single CAA. UK CAA Form 1 is not CASA Form 1. This is eligibility to fit/accept a tag on a UK-registered product. It is not a CARM or ICS2 filing rule.

What does the USA used/maintained extract say?

The columns are when the authorised release document was issued, not when the part is imported. Dual FAA/EASA or single EASA remains on the table for tags issued on or before 31 Dec 2024. After that date the table wants dual FAA/CAA or single CAA. Read the live row before treating this extract as the bilateral text.

From the used-components table on that page (retrieved for this rewrite):

Authorised release document issuedUSA
Before 31 Dec 2020FAA Form 8130-3 (dual FAA/EASA or single EASA)
From 31 Dec 2020 until 31 Dec 2022FAA Form 8130-3 (dual FAA/EASA or single EASA)
After 31 Dec 2022FAA Form 8130-3 (dual FAA/EASA or single EASA or FAA/CAA or single CAA) issued on or before 31 Dec 2024; FAA Form 8130-3 (dual FAA/CAA or single CAA) issued after 31 Dec 2024

Read the full row on the live CAA page. Dual FAA/EASA or single EASA remains on the table for tags issued on or before 31 Dec 2024. Dual-release path: Dual release on FAA 8130-3.

Is UK CAA Form 1 the same blank as CASA Form 1?

No. On the same tables, UK used/new releases move from EASA Form 1 to CAA Form 1. Australia lists CAA Form 1 and CASA Form 1 issued after 1 September 2026. Those are different issuing authorities. Do not treat “Form 1” as one worldwide blank.

This is eligibility to fit/accept a tag on a UK-registered product. It is not a CARM or ICS2 filing rule. UK import declaration: UK CDS for aircraft parts.

Sofema (training vendor, 26 Aug 2026) discusses TCA Annex 30 and UK maintenance Form 1 (Sofema). Use the CAA tables, not the vendor article, for the dates.

Next

Read the issue date on the tag against the live CAA table. Do not use the import date. UK CAA Form 1 is not CASA Form 1. This is fit/accept eligibility, not CDS data elements.

Dual-release path: Dual release on FAA 8130-3. UK import declaration: UK CDS for aircraft parts.

Doana can extract the issue date and Block 12/14a text from a scan (Form 1 automation). It cannot decide CAA table eligibility.
